Things Make Electric are a four piece, Cardiff based group of musicians. Heavily steeped in improv, experimental musical practice with a pop mentality, it should prove to be an interesting night of music for the March installment of Round the Houses. Having supported Acoustic Ladyland last year, its time to fill your boots with sounds electric. If you like your pop smart (think the Invisible, think Stereolab, think Tortoise) then this is the place to have some sonic pleasure. With your host Sarah Sweeney plus special guest DJ’s.

Round The Houses Nov 12th

Already establishing itself as one of the leading resident DJ nights in Cardiff, Sarah Sweeney’s ‘Round the Houses’ is the only place to be on a Friday night. With her eclectic sets spanning everything from house to Jazz, dubstep to techno, hip hop, funk and soul it’s easy to see why she’s causing such a stir on the Cardiff club scene.

This month Sarah is joined by Jake ‘The Sax’ a prolific saxophonist and music producer/DJ who’s current 7 year residency with Ok_Ma’s DJ Young Lee at the Bedroom bar in Shoreditch has them queuing out the door.
Jake can also be seen at Camden’s Proud Galleries (nominated best bar in London) where he hosts ‘Favourite Things’ – a live soul jazz event featuring some of London’s greatest singers, dancers and musicians. Need we say more?
